Small vessel diseases
This prospective, observational, single-center clinical study focuses on microangiopathies.
It aims to better characterize microangiopathies in order to more easily classify them according to their etiology (inflammatory, vascular, degenerative).
Your participation in the study will involve a single visit to the GIGA-CRC-In Vivo Imaging Center (B30 – Uliège) for a brain MRI.
If you agree to participate in the study and meet all the requirements for enrollment, you will undergo a brain MRI. An MRI is a special type of scanner that uses magnetic resonance. The word "magnetic" indicates that the device contains a large magnet. The word "resonance" indicates that radiofrequency waves, like those used in cell phones, will be used to vibrate the many hydrogen nuclei that make up your body's tissues, thus creating images. During the examination session, several structural sequences, which describe brain anatomy in detail, will follow one another.
